Your ID coronavirus newsletter update

View this email in your browser

Welcome to Independent Dealer’s first newsletter to update you on the ongoing coronavirus crisis. In each edition we aim to bring news from NOPA, the buying groups, wholesalers and vendors about what they are doing to help the IDC survive. We’ll also feature a few stories each issue about other dealers and what they have been doing to get by. If you have any stories to share about wins you have achieved, marketing masterstrokes or just something to make us smile, please email them to rowan@idealercentral.com

Winner’s Circle

The Penn is mightier than the sword
One of the few bright spots to come out of the current situation is the creativity being shown by members of the IDC when it comes to marketing. Here Penn Office Products from West Chester, PA, has used a popular Drake meme (I believe that’s what the kids call it) to have a quick dig at the Big Boxes while promoting its delivery services. Nice work!

Rolling in the deep
It won’t have escaped anybody’s attention that toilet roll was a highly sought after commodity in the early days of the pandemic, so what better way to give back to the community than to provide some supplies. That’s why AHI Enterprises of San Antonio, TX, donated 1,920 rolls of toilet paper to local Food Bank last week. Kudos should also go to Enterprise for donating a truck to make this delivery possible.

Vendor News

NOPA update

A lot continues to happen each and every day within our communities, states, businesses, and Washington when it comes to restarting the economy and bending the COVID-19 curve. NOPA will once again host its weekly Friday call with dealers to talk about what’s happening in the industry and give you the latest information coming out of Washington. Congress has agreed on Phase 4 stimulus funding and Friday’s call will focus on what this means for those who have yet to be approved for a government backed loan. Paul Miller will also share industry specific data, small business data, SBA data and talk about what the new round of government funding looks like. Register for the webinar below if you haven’t already!
